As part of CAFS commitment to the development and education of the transportation industry, we are proud to be recognizing students who show a desire to continue their studies in the transportation industry.

The CAFS Transportation Award recognizes outstanding applicants entering programs at a BC Post Secondary Institution. The award is awarded on a competitive basis. Adjudication considerations may include academic achievement, non-academic accomplishment, and school and / or community involvement and demonstrated leadership qualities.

The application deadline for 2008's Transportation Award should be received by the Award Committee before March 15, 2008. Presentations will take place at our June 4 Coquitlam meeting.

CAFS's Transportation Award

The Canadian Association of Fleet Supervisors Award recognizes outstanding applicants entering programs at a BC Post Secondary Institution. The award is awarded on a competitive basis. Adjudication considerations may include academic achievement, non-academic accomplishment, and school and / or community involvement and demonstrated leadership qualities.

Transportation Award Criteria

  • Applicants must be a permanent resident of British Columbia.
  • One complete CAFS Transportation Award application is required for each applicant.
  • Applicants must be a member or a relative of a member of CAFS and membership dues must be paid up to date at time of applying.
  • Only those considering the transportation industry as a career should apply
  • A Transportation Award recipient must commence studies in a full-time BC post secondary institution during the calendar year in which the award is presented
  • A recipient must remain registered as a full-time student during the academic period for which an award is given.
  • A recipient must maintain satisfactory academic standing during the academic period for which an award is given.
  • Applicants must be registered in a course that specifically deals with the safe operation and/or maintenance of Commercial Vehicles.
  • Applicants must provide a course description and content of the program they will be attending with the completed application.

Application Instructions:

  • An incomplete or late application will not be considered
  • Assemble your application in the following order: your application form, your typed Personal Statement, secondary school transcript, post-secondary institution transcript(s). At the back, attach any award-specific information required from you.
  • Award to be presented annually at CAFS's June Coquitlam General Meeting. Closing date for applications is April 30th.
